The Principle Of Enjoyment

Since it has been over a year since I've blogged anything I thought I would write a little something.
What is the Principle of Enjoyment?
We promote EVERYTHING we enjoy to EVERYONE we know.
One of the keys to success in business, ministry, etc. is making it more enjoyable.
Before your next event, appointment or whatever, ask yourself this question, "Is this enjoyable?"
Everything cannot be, but most things should seek to be more enjoyable.
Is your bible study enjoyable?
Was your last haircut enjoyable?
What about the last church service you attended?
See ya

We're movin on up... (hum the theme to "The Jeffersons"

We are moving out of our little shopping center on River Rock Blvd to Oakland High School on the North side of Murfreesboro.
Our first service at the new location will be Sunday, March 1st at 10:30am
This will provide plenty of room to grow and we are planning several outreach events for 2009. Tell everyone you know and we will see you there... or in the air!

Why confess sins if I am already forgiven?

We confess sins and ask others to forgive us so the enemy cannot accuse us before God and cause condemnation that brings shame, which subsequently forces us to hide from God.
Your sins are forgiven as a follower of Jesus but reconciling the wrongs done to others must be given serious attention or we will live with a multitude of regrets. Don't wait until it is too late to make things right with others.
How about finishing the year completely confessed up and ready to start fresh!

Smile, someone is watching!

As I was driving to Starbuck's earlier, I noticed how many people look so unhappy on the road. I'm sure some of these folks are:
1. experiencing difficulties, hardships, sufferings, or afflictions
2. hate their jobs
3. worrying about the economy & state of the world
4. in horrible relationships
5. lost in their sin without a personal relationship with Jesus

If you are in group (1) I have no glib and superficial advice. I'm so sorry you are hurting and my prayers are with you in this time of difficulty.
If you are in group (2) remember jobs pay bills so you can find fulfillment in other arena's of life.
If you are in group (3) Jesus commands us not to worry. Maybe you need to fast from TV and all the excessive bad news and focus on Philippians 4:8 for several weeks. Write it out and put it on the mirror, refrigerator, dashboard, etc.
If you are in group (4) work harder at making that relationship healthy and if you still think it's horrible AND ESPECIALLY IF IT IS AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP get out. I'm not telling people to divorce, I'm simply saying that life is too short to be miserable.
If you are in group (5) you really need Jesus friend! Admit you are a sinner to God. Acknowledge that Jesus died for you personally. Ask God to forgive you of all sin and commit to stop sinning. Allow Jesus to become your LORD and Savior. Pray: God forgive me and save me today. I give you my life and ask Jesus Your only Son to take over my life. I give it to Him. Amen.
Come to church with us and you'll find out more!
Merry Christmas.

P.S. Maybe you're not unhappy or in any of those situations listed above. If you are saved and happy, SMILE because someone is watching.
